Layton vs. Wright Open Thread

We’re gonna have a lot to say about this game at some point, but for now here’s an open thread so we can talk about it and to pass the time until I’m done with this goddamn double recap.
I have three main thoughts so far:
1) Every name in this game is fucking terrible (CARMINE ACCIDENTI!!!!!);
2) This is basically the plot of Fushigi Yuugi;
3) Phoenix borrowed Edgeworth’s neck pillow.

We made it! It’s finally here — VGR’s golden birthday! Now the site is officially as old as the sad 12-year-old recappers who write for it!
Thanks so much to my fellow recappers who have done such a fantastic job this year. Sam and Ben have done the brunt of the recapping work, and they are awesome. Speaking of which, they each have contributed a recap for the anniversary:
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Part 11 by Sam finishes up the first Anal Attorney game! Plus, it breaks the record for longest recap on the site. Seriously, look at it.
Final Fantasy IV Part 5 by Ben continues the poorly-translated adventures of the most resilient cast ever. These fuckers just don’t stay dead.
As for the site redesign, it is well underway, but isn’t quite ready yet. I’ve been toiling away, coding WordPress like a motherfuck PLUS transferring all 271 recaps into the system. I’m targeting this summer, barring any unforeseen issues. So stay tuned for that!

Whooooooooooooop!!! Happy New Year! I am FINALLY done with the latest Phoenix Wright recap! There is only one more left to go, but I don’t have to write it! Fuck yeah!
So this one was brutal, thanks to everyone being as annoying as possible, not to mention a video that was terrible in every way. But I persevered so you all could have your gay lawyer fix. I hope it was worth it.

Anyway, feel free to talk about the newest Anal Attorney game here. We ask that, if you want to talk spoilers, you preface your post with a specific spoiler warning (e.g. “Spoilers through case 4”). Remember that Jeanne and I have to check the comments so we’d appreciate not finding out that Phoenix and Edgeworth die at the end with each other’s penises in their hands.
And for those of you who want to be sure to remain entirely unspoiled, I would suggest just waiting to read this thread until later. Non-spoilery funny lines, wardrobe commentary, and so on are totally fine to discuss without spoiler warnings.
