We’re gonna have a lot to say about this game at some point, but for now here’s an open thread so we can talk about it and to pass the time until I’m done with this goddamn double recap.
I have three main thoughts so far:
1) Every name in this game is fucking terrible (CARMINE ACCIDENTI!!!!!);
2) This is basically the plot of Fushigi Yuugi;
3) Phoenix borrowed Edgeworth’s neck pillow.
I don’t even know how many of you are into the Layton series. I just wanted to share this:
For anyone not playing the game, two things about this scenario:
1) These two are Luke’s parents;
2) This outfit, termed “vintage hipster Rinoa” by Jeanne, was designed by Luke, only to serve as the world’s most ridiculous boner stoker for his own father.
Greetings everyone who thought I was dead after not posting for a while. I have a pretty good excuse this time involving the stomach flu and getting caught up on everything that I couldn’t do while I had the stomach flu. But trust me, you don’t want the details.
The reason I even mentioned my recent ailment is that John very thoughtfully bought me a new game to help me pass the time: Professor Layton and the Curious Village. Some of you mentioned on the forum that you’ve played this game, and all the “It’s a really cute game” and “I like puzzles” type of comments made me think that this would be a fun, innocent adventure. Boy, was I wrong. Horribly, horribly wrong.
