Happy anniversary to VGR, gang! Between this and watching a lot of young hot people in the Winter Olympics this week, I am feeling old as shit. And fittingly, on the 13th anniversary of me beginning it, here’s the ninth recap of Suikoden IV! That…sure is an average I’ve got going there. But this installment includes the greatest moment in this complete snooze of a game, so you’ve got that to look forward to!

    You know, this game is such a snoozefest but it is about 100 times funnier and more entertaining viewed through the lens of fallout from a nasty breakup, so I have to thank you for that. It made finishing the game to set up a clear fire for Tactics so much less of a pain. XD

    I love your take on this game and love the continued updates. 🙂

    This is actually my third favorite in the series (I kind of hate 3 and 1 is fine but man is it ugly to look at sometimes), which makes its skewering all so delightful. I also wonder at least half the games in the series seem to deal with a bad gay break-up and subsequent reunion. A philosophical question for the ages.
