Happy Holidays/Merry Indictment Day, readers! Celebrate with your favorite fizzy beverage and the latest Xenosaga II recap, an ode to the greatest, freshest, least irritating villain in videogame history. I have no notes of any kind on Albedo’s perfection. It’s a really short recap. Enjoy!
Xenosaga II part 6
12.01.17
If this recap killed you and made you a ghost, I feel SO sorry for you in Xenosaga III. XD But I did enjoy the recap, and tbh the encephelon part wasn’t too bad with the cutscenes considering that Shion wasn’t the focus of it. But man… Leveling to defeat Albedo and the enemies was a total bitch! I power level to 18 on the infinate spawning enemies just so I didn’t have to level grind here.
Oh, don’t worry, I am TITILLATED at the impending XS3 recaps. Glad you liked this one!
I have been lucky? enough to only play the very first part of this game. I was going to say how tedious it must have been to play through this part, but then I realized how tedious all of Xenosaga is to play through. I highly enjoyed this recap; I thought this was one of the best, funniest, and, unfortunately, apropos opening paragraphs you have ever written.
One day, when I finally get around to playing this game, I know it will be your recaps that get me through it.
SCABS of Xenosaga–never forget! 😉
The thing I will say about II and III is they are not that long–II in particular feels like they REEEEEEEEEEEALLY rushed some stuff because they realized how little time they had to tell the story they wanted to. (More on that in the next one.) I played both back to back before starting this recap and it didn’t take me that long.
That’s good to know, I guess, though I feel like the way they pace these games often makes them feel longer than they are (this coming from someone who primarily spends his current gaming time grinding levels in Pokemon and random crap in WoW).
Extremely same on the WoW front. The pacing does kind of…slow things, I suppose, but they are also just not as long as the first game. And I personally don’t find grinding incredibly important in any of them, so it’s kind of in and out. I’m a charlatan, probably.
