The first time I played this game, I totally got the pirate costume at complete random. Heck yeah! The second time, I couldn’t find it for the life of me and just left Slowe in his rags for the rest of the game. This was hilarious and totally on point. I can’t believe that Lido has entered the VGR canon of truly despised characters, though. That, too, is hilarious.
I genuinely don’t know why he gets under my skin so bad. Like, he objectively sucks, but it’s hard to get worked up about ANYONE in this game.
You’re doing the lord’s work. I’ve finished this game four or five times, *somehow*. It’s like… neither good nor bad, it’s just dull as watching paint dry. Framing it as Slowe and Marvy’s relationship issues makes it 10000x more interesting which is why I appreciate these recaps so much.
(On the other hand, Ritapon exists and that alone almost makes up for the stale whitebread plot and terrible navigation system.)
