Anyway, the important thing is that Clay might be executed! Whoo-hoo! To clarify, I’m fully aware that there’s more chance of Kit Harington and Richard Madden showing up naked in my bedroom than the game designers allowing something as amazing as Clay’s demise to happen, but I’m just going to play along for a while. Don’t trample on my dreams just yet.

Ahh yes. The Golden Plains. What misery that place brought me. The spots visited so far wasn’t even as bad as one later, but rest assured I got so lost one time that I reached a dead end and could just look around and curse before resetting my ps1.

I must post the following as a highlight (or lowlight, if you will) for the ntirety of VGR history. Who knows when another fairy taking a dump may appear!

“Even though Fantam, with all its confusing mixed messages, has been sent to the big adult store in the sky, I’m not out of the woods yet–the game designers are clearly on a roll, and now can’t seem to stop with the disturbing shit. As a new, saccharine background theme kicks in, indicating that all the monsters are gone, Orange Faerie flutters onto the screen and remembers that she “promised [Ruley] something” in exchange for getting rid of them. She hovers over to a nearby bush, and then–I can hardly believe I’m typing this–makes some gross straining noises, before flying back to the group and handing Ruley a freshly-laid Faerie Drop, sighing “Whew! That was a big one!” For those of you who somehow haven’t picked up on the subtleties of the scene, or are just in denial that the game designers would stoop this low, I’m going to spell it out for you–we’ve just witnessed a faerie taking a shit. I’m not even kidding.”

I’m pretty amazed with the retelling,as I have played this far into BoF IV and do not remember this event recurring at all. Another “great” moment in videogame history blocked out of my memory.

In one sentence, this descriptor of the recap was much more relevant than I thought it would be.

    *shudder*

Excellent recap nonetheless. Keep it up Ben!
